You Can Use Your Existing Accounting Software

iGovServices maintains all your customer, accounts receivable, collections, and delinquent data for you. iGovServices handles all of your revenue collection efforts separate from your accounting duties because those duties are normally handled by different staff members.  The iGovServices design saves the average municipality over $15,000 because you can keep your existing accounting software if you enjoy using it and automatically import your iGov transactions.

Relationship between Collection Software and Accounting Software

All revenue collected connects to accounting software in the same method of file update. When a deposit is balanced by a user, the payments must be transferred to the general ledger to update the chart of account’s financial statements.  All quality revenue software like iGovServices, will first balance payments and then pass a “balanced” file which is imported as a batch into the general ledger.  Every program works the same so do not be fooled by an accounting software vendor that says you have to buy both their revenue and accounting software to make things work.  That is not accurate.
